Easy Care Restoration was the sponsor for the first PAMA seminar at the Buildex Tradeshow this morning and it went perfectly! Adrienne Murray of Adrienne Murray Law Corporation was the speaker and she was updating Strata Managers on a variety of legal topics. 

Continuing from What is Asbestos? Pt. 1, this post will cover the health problems associated with asbestos, where you'll encounter asbestos and how to minimize the risks of asbestos. Remember, professionals should always be involved when asbestos is to be removed. 

In light of all the attention to asbestos recently, I thought I’d do a blog post on it.

First there was the local businessman who knowingly exposed his workers to asbestos and then there was the CBC news report on the asbestos industry. I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon and put up an informative post.

Easy Care Restoration is having a party to display and demonstrate all the new things that are being implemented!! Two of the most exciting pieces are the High Touch Moisture Monitoring System and the Easy life Online Reporting System. 

We'll be showing everyone the process on how we restore a home from start to finish. This includes how we interact with customers and what kind of information they'll have access to! 

On Thursday August 25th Easy Care Restoration had it's 2nd Annual Lee Dobbs Memorial Golf Tournament. The event was a huge success with our clients and friends attending to support the Canadian Cancer Society. 

Lee Dobbs passed away from cancer that started as colorectal cancer. He was 61 years old when he died. Just a week prior to the golf tournament, Jack Layton passed away. Incidentally he was also 61 years old when he died. His message to Canadians just prior to his death was this:

This week we were at the BOMA Golf Classic Tournament at Swan-E-Set Golf Course in Pitt Meadows. What a long drive (pun intended!) it was but boy was the view beautiful. 

We sponsored hole #10 on the resort course, which was also the men's long drive hole. Our new tent is beautiful too! (thanks American Fabricators) The whole set up was amazing and we were serving some delicious food too. Pineapple curry meatballs and sweet chili Thai chicken skewers. Delicious. 

Since the weather has been so great we've decided to renovate our flood house. The purpose of the flood house before was to do some training for our techs to show them how to restore a flood. What we want to do now is to educate our customers and show them how Easy Care restores floods. 

The flood house helps us demonstrate how quickly a sprinkler in an apartment building can flood the building. About 300 gallons of water gets pumped through those sprinkers every minute. 

The Easy Care team was at possibly the largest industry golf tournament of the year, the CICMA Golf Tournament. This tournament had over 300 golfers at the Northview golf course which is basically two courses, the Ridge and the Canal.
